About the job
As a train attendant at VR Tåg in Bergslagen, you are one of our most important ambassadors, ensuring that every journey is safe, pleasant, and smooth. Working as a train attendant is a social and varied job that requires a sense of service, flexibility, and responsibility, but it also provides a lot in return through interactions with people and a meaningful everyday life.
In this role, you will be available to our customers, validate tickets, provide information in case of disruptions, and ensure that each journey is as safe and comfortable as possible.
We hope you can start in May 2026 and work through the summer until September. Working hours will be scheduled during the day, evening, and weekends. We are looking for someone who has the ability and willingness to work within these timeframes and can contribute to a safe, secure, and service-oriented traffic environment.
Your qualities
We prefer that you have previously worked in a service role. As a train attendant, it is important that you feel comfortable communicating in both Swedish and English. You will be using our digital tools daily and should have a good technical understanding and computer skills. You should have a high school diploma or equivalent educational level.
As a person, you are driven by helping and meeting other people in your work. It is important for you to spread positive energy, and when needed, you are happy to assist in resolving various situations. As a train attendant, you have a significant responsibility for safety, and therefore you are also careful to follow the rules and guidelines in place. Together with your colleagues, you create a world-class travel experience.

Employment: Fixed-term employment from May to September, with good opportunities for permanent employment. We are looking for someone who can work throughout the entire period.
Extent: Full-time
Location: Gävle, Borlänge, or Fagersta
Training: Training begins in early May, so it is important that you can start your employment from this date. During the training period, travel to our various locations will be included.
Working hours: The work as a train attendant involves scheduled working hours that vary throughout the day. The scheduling is regulated according to collective agreements, rules, and traffic.
