Grease Sludge Operator/Planner at SERWENT in Gävle

We are currently recruiting a grease sludge operator/planner for our operations in Gävle. With us, you will be part of a company where the values of reliability, courage, and compassion are a natural part of everyday life.

Today, an engaged team of about a dozen operators works here. We carry out assignments including sludge emptying, ADR, sewer flushing, pipe inspection, inspections, and investigations as well as on-call services.

About the position

As a grease sludge operator, you will be responsible for planning, emptying, and overseeing grease sludge facilities for both private and municipal customers throughout Gästrikland. The majority of these are from restaurant operations.

You will drive and lead the daily work together with a colleague in the segment with support from management. Here, you will use your logistical skills to plan the daily operations' routes, calculate volumes, and set up a plan for execution.

Emptying occurs at set intervals and therefore needs to be planned accordingly. The role requires you to be strategic, organized, communicative, and accustomed to physically demanding work. The waste collected is then transported to facilities in Gävle, Uppsala, and Västerås.

The role entails a great deal of freedom under responsibility. You:

• plan your workdays and routes efficiently
• are responsible for your vehicle's maintenance and your equipment
• work with the support of digital route planning via tablet
• have good communication skills and are solution-oriented

You will always have colleagues and management close at hand when needed. The work may involve taking breaks and lunches where the assignment is currently being performed, which requires good self-planning.

We are looking for someone who is responsible, service-oriented, and enjoys independent work. You are confident in your professional role and have the ability to think logistically. You have good driving experience and find it easy to meet customers and colleagues in a professional manner. You communicate clearly and are involved in the improvement work together with your team and immediate manager.

We also see it as an advantage if you have ADR certification or other experiences related to combination vehicle driving, water and sewage, sewer flushing, excavation and construction, property maintenance, on-call services, or similar, but this is not a requirement.

We see that you have:

• CE driving license
• Valid YKB
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

The work involves physical tasks, so experience in physical work and good physical fitness is an advantage.

As a person, you are stress-resistant, proactive, and plan your driving with a focus on both traffic safety and the environment.

Other information
