About the position

We need to strengthen our operations and are now looking for a dedicated bus damage repairer/bodyworker for our workshop in Docksta. The role has a strong focus on taking responsibility for preparing and ensuring the final result before painting.

We are looking for someone who

• Has relevant education equivalent to high school level and experience in repairs.
• You have a good understanding of damage repair from preliminary work to finished result.
• Likes order and cleanliness and works in a structured manner with an eye for detail.
• Collaborates well in a team.
• Familiar with digital support systems.

Job responsibilities

As a bodyworker/damage repairer, you will work with collision or rust-damaged buses and other vehicles:

• Work with various sheet metal damages and body repairs.
• Preliminary work before painting such as measuring, aligning, welding, restoring, and replacing parts.
• Preparation such as plastic work, filling, gluing, sanding, and masking to ensure the best possible result.
• Reassembly of components.
• Simple disassembly as needed.
• Work with minor damage jobs.
• Polishing as needed.
• Self-inspection/quality assurance before delivery. That is, check quality and execution and document the work process in our digital systems.
• Work in close dialogue with other teams such as workshop and traffic planning for a smooth workflow.
• Work in accordance with applicable policies and procedures regarding work environment, environment, and safety.

Requirements

• Communicates well in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Valid driver's license (B)

Meritorious

• Experience as a car bodyworker.
• Experience from insurance matters/damage centers.
• Knowledge of CABAS (calculation system).

Docksta Buss och Truck AB is a workshop company with a primary focus on heavy vehicles, mainly buses and taxi vehicles. Today, we have about 25 employees within the company. The operations are distributed across seven workshops from Timrå in the south to Övik in the north, all located adjacent to Byberg & Nordin's depots, whose vehicles we manage through a service agreement. Byberg & Nordin Busstrafik AB is a family business in its third generation. Our operations include everything from scheduled traffic, school traffic, taxi and transport services, group travel, and express bus traffic.
