Saint-Gobain Gyproc is looking for a mechanic for the maintenance department in Bålsta.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a technical education at least at the high school level or equivalent. In addition, we prefer that you have a few years of experience in similar tasks from the manufacturing industry. Good Swedish and English in both spoken and written form, as well as a B driver's license, are required.

You have a strong interest in technology and are solution-oriented. You are also a humble team player who has the ability to work independently and can take your own initiatives. It is important that you are structured and safety-conscious in your way of working and that you are open, flexible, and meticulous with a strong sense of service. Good collaboration skills are important as you will work closely with several departments. You have good computer skills, and it is an advantage if you have previously worked in SAP's maintenance module. It is also advantageous if you have worked with improvement work.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of mechanic, the tasks are mainly related to preventive and corrective maintenance. As a mechanic, you will be part of the maintenance team together with Electrical and Automation - a team of a total of nine people. The tasks include troubleshooting and inspection of our production equipment and machines. An important part of the mechanic's role is to participate in improvement work and projects within the framework of GYPROC's WCM structure (World Class Manufacturing) focusing on loss reduction and operator maintenance projects. Working hours are scheduled for two shifts. The position also includes on-call duty every 4 weeks.
