The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is expanding – we are building new facilities, renovating, and adding to our operations, and we are now looking for more employees. Operational Area Vänersborg

The Vänersborg operational area consists of two prisons in Vänersborg and a remand center in Uddevalla. The Östragård prison is an open facility with space for 192 clients. The Brinkeberg prison is a closed facility with space for 144, and the remand center in Uddevalla has 57 places. We have a rich operational environment, and we employ correctional officers, administrators, nurses, chefs, teachers, production leaders, managers, and more. JOB DESCRIPTION

The production leader, under the supervision of the responsible correctional inspector and in collaboration with colleagues, will plan and lead the operations. The purpose of the operations is to provide clients with employment during their time in prison and to give them practical experience. As a production leader, you will have a supervisory role and direct contact with our clients. In daily interactions with clients, you contribute to their learning and self-reflection. You will plan, delegate tasks, and ensure that our deliveries are made on time. Clarify rules and routines, instruct, and support the client in their work. Together with other colleagues, you will ensure that the prison's work is conducted in accordance with applicable legislation. You will check attendance and write payroll for completed work. Daily routine tasks such as searches and other security-related tasks are also part of your responsibilities. If necessary, you may be required to participate in production to complete deliveries. As a production leader, you are expected to actively contribute to maintaining a good security culture and a positive collaborative climate. The Brinkeberg prison is looking for employees for assembly and packaging, mechanical workshop, and welding.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and self-aware. You find it easy to collaborate with others and have well-founded and clear values. In stressful situations, you remain calm, stable, and controlled. You have the ability to make sound judgments and prioritize effectively. You have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and adapt your way of communicating based on the recipient's conditions. You should also have a physical condition that allows you to act physically if the situation requires it.

To thrive and succeed in your work, it is important that you share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humane view of humanity, respect for the individual, and belief in human development. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. Furthermore, you are expected to contribute to ensuring that everyone is treated equally. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in relevant work areas, such as workshop, welding, CNC, assembly, and packaging
• Completed upper secondary education
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing
• Good computer skills
• Driver's license B

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience in mentoring others at work
• Experience as a production leader
• Experience as a production leader within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• Forklift license
• Work experience in correctional services, security work, or social care.
• Relevant language skills
