You will belong to Markverkstad Skaraborg, which operates in Karlsborg and Såtenäs. This position is located in Såtenäs (Skaraborg Air Force Wing F7), where we have 20 employees.

The workshop performs maintenance on the Armed Forces' ground equipment and provides technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of inspections, repairs, manufacturing, dismantling/scrapping, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and material investigation.

Main Responsibilities

As a fuel mechanic, you will primarily work with inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of various types of fuel equipment such as units, tank vehicles, IBCs, and fixed installations used within the Armed Forces. The work involves both preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, repairs, and modifications based on established guidelines.

Requirements and Qualifications

• You have at least a two- or three-year vocational education in vehicle technology, or other education/competence acquired through professional experience that the employer deems equivalent.
• Experience from workshop-related work as a mechanic, or equivalent experience that the employer deems comparable.
• Computer skills; we work with digital platforms for documentation, time tracking, troubleshooting, and workshop production.
• Manual B driver's license, preferably higher qualifications.

• C driver's license, CE driver's license.

Other Information

Employment type: Permanent employment starting with a 6-month probationary period.

Employment rate: full-time, daytime – varying working hours may occur.

Work location: Såtenäs. Start date: As soon as possible after agreement.

The work also requires travel and service, both domestically and internationally. The position is a civilian appointment.
