Specialist Training for Nurses

We offer you as a nurse the opportunity to pursue a specialist training during working hours with maintained salary in a so-called educational employment.

While you study, you will be permanently employed in the unit where you will then work as a qualified specialist nurse. About You

We are looking for someone who still has imagination and a childlike spirit! With us, you will have a broad profession where creativity is part of everyday life. As a pediatric nurse, you can work independently in various specialties in hospitals or with healthy children in child health care and schools. We primarily seek those who are licensed nurses and employed by Region Kalmar County, but also those who are licensed nurses not currently employed with us but interested in further education are welcome to apply. As an advanced nurse in the pediatric clinic, weekend shifts are included.

The mission of the Child and Adolescent Clinic is to receive children aged 0-18 years. The clinic specializes in somatic care, which includes medical investigations, treatment, and nursing. The mission covers the full range of pediatric medical problems as well as inpatient care in surgery, orthopedics, dermatology, ophthalmology, and otology, and in some cases also child and adolescent psychiatry. The clinic consists of outpatient services, both in Västervik and Oskarshamn, and an inpatient ward. The ward has 12 beds distributed over seven department places and five neonatal places. There is also day care and play therapy. Our goal is to always maintain high medical quality combined with good care.

Västervik Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital is an emergency hospital with maternity care and a maternity ward. At Västervik Hospital, there are jobs for those who want to develop in their role alongside friendly colleagues. The hospital is of a manageable size, and you will have a secure and pleasant employment with opportunities to learn new things. It is located adjacent to Västervik's center and is close to the archipelago.
