Training Position as a Psychiatric Nurse

As a nurse within Region Kalmar County, you have the opportunity to further your education through a so-called training position.

We at the adult psychiatry department are currently offering a training position that allows you, as a nurse, to pursue a specialist education to become a psychiatric nurse. During the training period, you will be employed by the clinic where you will work once the specialist training is completed.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse who is interested in deepening your knowledge and developing in your professional role. It is advantageous if you have several years of experience working as a nurse. To succeed in this role, you are an engaged person who sees the value in building and maintaining good relationships with patients and colleagues. We are convinced that you, just like us, value actively contributing to workplace joy and helpfulness among colleagues.

A training position can only occur once you have been accepted into the training program.

Your Future Workplace

Within adult psychiatry north, there are care departments for inpatient care and clinics in both Vimmerby and Västervik. In forensic psychiatry, we have both care departments and outpatient care in Västervik.

You will work in new and modern facilities tailored for specialized psychiatry. The facilities contribute to better coordination for psychiatric operations and a good working environment for you. Within the administration, a total of 600 employees work with specialized psychiatric care for adults, children, and adolescents, forensic psychiatric care, and rehabilitation care.
