Region Halland is looking for you who currently work as a nurse and want to develop by furthering your education to become a specialist nurse in intensive care.
The ICU is one of Halland's hospital's most qualified departments for monitoring, diagnosing, and treating patients of all ages with severe and often life-threatening conditions. Our patients require careful monitoring, advanced treatment, and nursing care. The ICU environment is characterized by technical aids in the form of medical equipment and advanced monitoring devices.
We are a general intensive care unit that cares for almost all patient categories: including medicine, surgery, infection, pediatrics, trauma, and patients who have undergone major surgery. Patients come to the ICU from the emergency department, various wards, surgery, or other intensive care units.
To UVE/Postop, patients come for monitoring after acute or elective surgeries and other examinations before they proceed to wards or go home from UVE/Postop.
Patient care at our ICU and UVE/Postop is characterized by high professional skill, high-quality nursing, and a personal, respectful, and empathetic approach. The work environment is of utmost importance, and we all contribute to creating the best conditions.
We have special agreements related to weekly working hours.
Your duties as an intensive care nurse will include receiving and caring for intensive care patients. An important task is also to support relatives in the special situation they find themselves in when their loved ones are cared for by us.
Training Employment
We offer you a training employment, which means that you study to become an intensive care nurse with a salary and receive a position at IVA Varberg, where you will then work as a qualified intensive care nurse after completing your education.
A training employment can be granted for full-time or part-time study. Distance education is also included as a study form.
