Brasserie Astrid is looking for an experienced head waiter to join our team. We are a modern restaurant in the heart of the city that values service quality, sustainability, and a warm atmosphere. As a head waiter, you will lead the guest experience, be responsible for the daily operations in the dining room, and coach the serving team to deliver consistently high standards.
Responsibilities – Head Waiter with Guest Service and Operations ManagementLead and delegate tasks within the serving team during lunch and dinner.
Be responsible for table assignments, guest reception, and reservations.
Create and maintain routines for high guest service and efficient flow in the dining room.
Coordinate with the kitchen and bar to ensure the right timing and quality in service.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and solution-oriented.
Participate in scheduling, staffing planning, and training of personnel.
Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace regulations, and internal policies.
Contribute to the development of menus, wine lists, and seasonal offerings.
At least 3 years of experience in restaurant service, preferably in a leading role as head waiter or head server.
Good knowledge of wine, beverage pairing, and menu composition is an advantage.
Experience with reservation systems and cash register systems.
Strong communication skills and leadership; you motivate and develop the team.
Service-oriented, stress-resistant, and solution-focused.
Fluent in Swedish and good knowledge of English; additional languages are a plus.
Flexibility in working hours with the ability to work evenings and weekends.
Professional and warm in interactions with guests and colleagues.
Organized with an eye for detail and overall experience.
Proactive and creative in improving the guest experience.
Team player who builds a positive work environment.
