Waku Waku is a Japanese restaurant where we focus on simple, health-conscious, and affordable meals inspired by Japanese traditions. We are now looking for a kitchen assistant who wants to take responsibility for our lunch operations and deliver a first-class dining experience to our guests.

About the role

As a kitchen assistant during lunch, you will have a central role. Since you will be working independently in the kitchen during these hours, it is crucial that you are organized, quick, and enjoy taking responsibility. Your tasks include:

• Preparation and cooking of food.
• Plating and serving.
• Dishes, cleaning, and daily kitchen routines.
• Working with other staff to ensure our guests receive the best possible service.

Who are you?

We place the greatest emphasis on your personality and work ethic. Previous experience is a plus, but not a requirement as we offer full training on-site. We are looking for someone who:

• Is reliable, punctual, and very responsible.
• Works efficiently even under stress.
• Is a good team player who collaborates easily.
• Speaks English fluently, as customer contact and collaboration occur in English.

Working hours and conditions

• Scope: Part-time (approx. 20 hours/week), with good opportunities for extra hours in the evenings for the right person.
• Working hours: Mainly Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM.
• Location: Waku Waku (60 seats indoors, 30 outdoors).
• Other: We have a collective agreement.
