We at Norlandia Elderly Care are looking for you, a nurse who wants to work full-time/part-time throughout or part of the summer at Sätraåsen elderly home in Gävle. Would you like to be part of our team this summer? Then you are warmly welcome to submit your application!

What does the job as a nurse at Norlandia Elderly Care entail?

As a nurse within Norlandia Elderly Care, you are a valuable key person responsible for ensuring that our residents' health and medical care needs are met. An important part of the job is also to support, guide, and educate other care staff and to be a good role model for your colleagues.

You work with care in everything you do with great personal responsibility and have the ability to prioritize and lead others even in changing circumstances. Flexibility and collegial cooperation are of great importance in the assignment.

About Sätraåsen elderly home

The residence is located in the Sätra district and has 72 places. The residence focuses on both dementia care and somatic care. Three nurses work during the day, Monday to Sunday. A rehab team with an occupational therapist and physiotherapist is available during the day, Monday to Friday.

As a summer substitute with us, you will have access to Cappy – a smart app that gives you an overview of your working hours and salary. In the app, you can see worked hours, earned salary, preliminary salary payment, information about available shifts, and how much you can earn on an extra shift. With Cappy, there is also the possibility to withdraw part of the earned salary for extra shifts/hourly shifts directly after completing a shift.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you with a big heart and a desire to make a difference. We appreciate if you enjoy working with people and have a strong sense of service. You should also find it easy to collaborate with others and have a good ability to adapt your communication based on the recipient. As a nurse in elderly care, you will have the opportunity to take great personal responsibility, which requires both professional skill, prioritization ability, and flexibility.

  • We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse.

  • It is an advantage if you have previous experience as a nurse in elderly care.

  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.

  • We also appreciate if you have good computer skills and system knowledge.

Employment type: Summer substitute

Extent: Full-time, part-time, or hourly employment

Start date: June, July, and August 2026

We apply individual salary setting and have collective agreements. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Before a possible employment, you must be able to present an extract from the criminal record. You also need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
