Municipal technology and services are divided into four units: property, streets and parks, water and sewage, and food services. We manage the municipality's land and operational premises, clean municipal facilities, maintain streets and roads, pedestrian and bicycle paths, parks, playgrounds, forests, waste management, and utility networks. We produce drinking water and treat wastewater. Within the food unit, we prepare meals for schools, preschools, elderly care, and home care.

The responsibility of municipal technology is to meet both residents' and other administrations' needs for services within water, sewage, road maintenance, park management, property management, and waste management.

We are now looking for nature conservation workers for the summer season

We are looking for nature conservation workers for the summer season who want to help maintain the municipality's green areas and urban forests in Forshaga.

Job Responsibilities

As a nature conservation worker, you will work with various machines and tools, including lawn mowers, brush cutters, trimmers, and sometimes tractors, as well as wood chippers and shredders. The management plans the work daily, and you will perform tasks according to instructions.

The basic tasks during the season are to:

• mow grass and trim municipal green areas according to maintenance plans
• assist in clearing and maintaining urban forests
• work on various tasks within green area maintenance

The work is physical and takes place outdoors in varying weather conditions. Within given frameworks, you have the freedom to decide how the work should be performed.

Qualifications

• Basic education
• Driving license (B)
• Experience working with brush cutters and trimmers

Meritorious:

• Chainsaw license
• Previous experience in green area maintenance and nature conservation

You have an interest in nature conservation and the maintenance of outdoor environments and enjoy outdoor work.

You are independent, meticulous, and have good teamwork skills. You are responsible and have a safety mindset when handling machines and tools. Physical endurance and good fitness help you thrive in this role.

We expect you to be an early riser as we start the day at 6:30 AM.

You need to understand and follow instructions in Swedish.

Conditions

This position is a seasonal employment at 100% during the period from April 26 to September 30.
