As a nature value specialist responsible for our own forest holdings, you are expected to support the business in forest planning and conservation issues. You will work both in the field and in the office, and you play an important role in identifying opportunities for forest use, contributing to facilitate planning work so that we achieve our business goals.
This is what you will do:
- Provide support in planning/conservation issues: Act as operational support in the field for forest management planning
- Lead and participate in inventories: Participate in and lead various inventory and follow-up projects
- Train and develop: Train internal staff and contractors in conservation and forestry, as well as support and promote continuous professional development among colleagues
- Government contacts: Maintain contact with authorities and act as an expert resource in matters related to forestry and conservation
- Participation in projects: Engage in projects related to conservation, planning, and forestry data to promote sustainable forestry operations
The role offers a free and exciting work environment where you become part of a wonderful team working with forest management planning and conservation. We collaborate across departmental boundaries to support the entire operational business. You will be based in Skoghall/Udden or at one of our other offices in Värmland.
Who are we looking for
We believe you are a person who has a strong commitment and interest in forestry and conservation, as well as a strong drive to support the business in both conservation issues and goal fulfillment. You have experience working with conservation and understand the importance of managing forests sustainably through planning work.
Skills and qualifications we believe you have:
- Forestry degree or other relevant education, or professional experience in the field
- Knowledge and experience in inventory and follow-up
- Experience in dialog with authorities and other organizations and representing the business in conservation matters
- You feel comfortable communicating and training in groups and engaging your surroundings in conservation and forestry issues
- You have good computer skills and proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- You have a B driver's license
