JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At Bergviken Short-Term Care, our mission is to help each user become their best self to facilitate their return home. Therefore, we work based on a rehabilitative and person-centered approach, which means that you as a care assistant will be there to support daily activities and encourage the user to remain as active as possible in their daily life. We focus on the strengths of the individual and help preserve their existing abilities. As a care assistant, you are a crucial and important part of our team, which also includes nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and unit managers.

Documentation is an important task, and you are responsible for documenting in Combine according to the Social Services Act.

The work is carried out according to a varied schedule with day, evening, and weekend shifts. One of the positions is a pure night shift for those who wish to work only nights.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a genuine commitment to working with people. In this role, you will encounter many individuals, both users and their relatives, in often complex situations. Therefore, it is important that you have the ability to adapt your approach and feel confident in these encounters. Furthermore, you should:

Be a trained care assistant
Have good documentation skills
Have good digital competence, meaning you can handle computers/software and phones/apps with ease. You should also be able to quickly familiarize yourself with new digital systems.

It is advantageous if you have completed a course in emergency care, have experience working in home care, and possess good knowledge in dementia, palliative care, and psychiatry. Experience with more advanced medical tasks (e.g., tracheostomy, tube feeding, advanced wound care, medication pumps, and dialysis) is also a plus.

As a person, you should be structured, collaborative, and solution-oriented. In this recruitment, we place great emphasis on personal competencies.
