Market Hall Manager at Coop Kongahälla

Are you passionate about food, people, and customer experiences? Do you love creating inspiring and memorable experiences in-store?

At Coop Kongahälla, we are looking for an engaged and creative Market Hall Manager who wants to take responsibility for developing the customer’s food experience and joy in the store. As the Market Hall Manager, you will be responsible for putting Coop Kongahälla on the map. Your focus will be on customer interaction, quality, inspiration, and sales. You will drive activities and initiatives that strengthen the store's food profile and contribute to high customer satisfaction (NKI).

The role involves close collaboration with the store's management team and ongoing coordination with the Store Manager.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Customer experience and offering: Ensure high-quality customer interactions and work to spread joy and inspiration about food. Be responsible for the store's displays and create a selling store with FFF (full, fresh, faced).
  • Activities and events: Plan, execute, and follow up on food activities, campaigns, and events that enhance the food experience in-store and increase NKI.
  • Sales and operations planning: Work with sales planning, follow-up on KPIs and results together with the management team.
  • Marketing and social media: Be responsible for local marketing activities and be active in the store’s social media, such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Quality and sustainability: Ensure high quality, food safety, and sustainable practices within fresh produce and production.

We are looking for someone who is creative, business-driven, and has a genuine interest in food and fresh produce. We see that you have:

  • Experience in a leadership role within the grocery retail sector.
  • Good understanding of sales, finance, and personnel planning.
  • A strong customer focus and a great aesthetic sense.

We offer you:

  • A developing and inspiring job in a modern and vibrant store.
  • The opportunity to work creatively with displays, food, events, and customer experiences.
  • An inclusive work climate with a focus on development and collaboration.
  • Freedom to influence the assortment, spread joy about food, and increase sales.

The position is a permanent full-time role (40 hours/week) with a start date to be agreed upon. Working hours vary between days, evenings, and weekends. We apply a probationary period.

If you want to know more about the position, contact Store Manager Johanna Järnros at phone: 010-745 03 01 or email: [email protected]

We value a balanced age and gender distribution as well as ethnic and cultural diversity. Selection and interviews are ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. To comply with GDPR requirements and maintain good communication with our applicants, we only accept applications digitally via the advertisement, not via email or mail.

Welcome to become a part of Coop Kongahälla and create the future market hall in-store together with us!

Your profile:

  • You have broad experience and education from retail and experience in leadership.
  • Documented good results in operations with your own result responsibility.
  • Documented knowledge in cooking and event planning.
  • You are social and comfortable working with social media.

Coop Väst AB has over 940,000 members and currently operates 184 Coop stores with a total net sales of approximately 9.3 billion SEK. The cooperative area extends from Strömstad to Laholm in the West and from Västervik to Borgholm in the East.

Coop is one of Sweden's largest employers with many challenging jobs. We are on an exciting transformation journey to meet the future food customers as well as possible and as naturally in our physical stores as on Coop.se.

The ongoing transformation presents many challenges but also opportunities. And you are never alone. If there is anything we are particularly proud of, it is our employees. By successfully recruiting many competent employees, we work together towards the future.

The new Coop aims to provide attractive store experiences with affordable food, strong private labels, a unique membership program, and clear leadership in ecology, health, and sustainability. In short: We want to be the positive force in Swedish grocery retail.

With approximately 650 stores in Sweden and 3.4 million members, Coop is Sweden's only member-owned grocery chain.

We value the qualities that a balanced age and gender distribution as well as ethnic and cultural diversity bring to the organization.
