The Technical and Property Management Department is responsible for the municipality's premises, properties, and technical infrastructure – from planning new construction projects to operation, maintenance, and development. We work with water and sewage, cleaning services, grounds maintenance, transport, and vehicle services. Our goal is to build and manage sustainably and climate-smart to ensure a safe and functioning everyday life for the residents of Botkyrka. Transportservice needs more drivers who can work extra!

The position and tasks

Transportservice needs to expand with hourly employed drivers who can step in during sick leave and holiday periods.

As a driver with us, you will transport school children with disabilities, seniors going to day activities, and users with disabilities going to daily activities. You are responsible for the vehicle you drive and for the safety of the passengers. During certain periods, you may need to deliver internal mail or be a courier.

You are the one who informs traffic management and travelers during traffic disruptions and deviations. Among the tasks is also to ensure that the vehicle is clean and in good condition, as well as report vehicle faults and damages. Since you have the ultimate responsibility for everyone in the vehicle, you should have a good ability to work independently and take your own initiatives within the framework of your position. You are the face of the municipality when you meet the citizens.

Introduction

We offer you a personalized introduction of about 5-10 days, depending on how much experience you have. You will also receive guidance where you will ride along with our experienced drivers, an introduction to traffic management, and the manager.

Working hours

You will be booked as needed, and this can happen at short notice. With us, you work Monday to Friday. Our need is for you to be able to drive at some time between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Split shifts may occur. No evenings, weekends, or public holidays.

Requirements:

• Driver's license with category D
• YKB valid for at least 6 months from the start of employment
• You must also be able to independently handle and solve challenges along the way, be a proactive problem solver, stress-resistant, and flexible.
• You need to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Be comfortable managing your drives through an app on a mobile phone
• It is important that you have a very good ability to collaborate and communicate, as you have a great responsibility for people with disabilities, school children, seniors, and users in a transport situation.

Meritorious:

• If you have documented experience in transport services or medical transport
• If you speak multiple languages
• If you have good local knowledge of Botkyrka municipality and Stockholm County
