In Sweden, Vattenfall Värme delivers district heating, district cooling, and steam to industries, property owners, and residential customers in fifteen municipalities. We provide sustainable heating to approximately 200,000 Swedish households, as well as heat, cooling, and steam to industrial customers. We actively work according to a clear plan to reduce fossil emissions in our cities, our own heat production, and from our suppliers, with the goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2040. We are particularly proud that our main product, district heating, plays such an important role in the energy transition and the new circular society.
About the Role
Vattenfall Värme in Jordbro is in the midst of an exciting phase with several ongoing and upcoming facility projects. We are now looking for someone who wants to be part of this development journey. With us, you will be part of our competent team where you will face technical challenges daily and have the opportunity to develop in your role.
We are looking for shift-based Operation Technicians for our facilities in Jordbro, southern Stockholm.
As an Operation Technician, you will be an important part of an experienced and dedicated team that together is responsible for ensuring that our production facilities operate and are monitored safely, efficiently, and sustainably.
In this role, you will work with the operation and monitoring of boilers and auxiliary equipment, and you will perform self-checks and ongoing supervision according to established plans. The work is shift-based and includes day, night, and weekend work.
Your main responsibilities:
- Operation and monitoring, including condition checks
- Shutdown/restoration of the facility (Safe Stops)
- Process optimization and facility efficiency
- Operator maintenance, self-checks, and ongoing supervision
- Crane operation and fuel handling
Requirements
We believe you will thrive with us if you are a positive and solution-oriented person who wants to develop and contribute to a socially important operation. You enjoy collaborating, willingly share ideas with colleagues, and have a strong safety mindset.
We prefer that you have:
- Education in energy technology, heating technology, or process industry
- Relevant work experience in the field
- Good proficiency in the Office suite and the ability to read technical instructions
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Driving license B
Meritorious: Engineering education in areas such as energy, chemistry, or power technology.
