Operations Technician Focused on Fire Safety and Security

Do you want to work in an important and responsible role where fire safety and security are in focus? As an operations technician with us, you will play a central role in the systematic fire protection work (SBA) and contribute to safe, well-functioning properties. You will work closely with the operations on both technical installations and ongoing supervision, where your expertise makes a real difference every day.

The Fortifications Agency owns, develops, and manages robust defense properties for peace, crisis, and war. With our unique expertise in defense properties, we create safe environments for a robust total defense.

Your daily life as an operations technician

The position belongs to the operations district of Halmstad in the Southwest region, which will consist of twelve operations technicians and one operations manager.

Your role will include supervision and maintenance of both owned and rented properties. On-call duty may be included in the position. The tasks include supervision, maintenance, and corrective maintenance of technical installations, with a particular focus on SBA work, self-checks, and ongoing maintenance.

The role also includes responsibility for actively working on operational and energy optimization as well as troubleshooting and repairing installations within electricity, heating, water, cooling, and ventilation. You will perform self-checks, work with control, regulation, and monitoring systems (SRÖ), SBA, and general property maintenance. Administrative tasks constitute a significant part of the work.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, you have an operations technician education or other education that can be assessed as equivalent. Your education should have included one of the following: control and regulation (SRÖ), property management, ventilation, SBA, and/or refrigeration systems. It is advantageous if you have training as a refrigeration technician.

In addition to education, you have several years of work experience from the property industry within operations (supervision, maintenance, and corrective maintenance). You also have the ability to troubleshoot property technical installations and can carry out repairs. You master Swedish in speech and writing and have a B driver's license and Swedish citizenship.

We consider it an advantage if you have independently handled work orders, fault reports, and troubleshot and resolved issues on your own or in a group. Knowledge and experience from working in a security-classified position are also advantageous.

About the employment

The position is a permanent employment and may start with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be placed in a war position. The place of employment is Halmstad. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. A security review with a background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
