Your role

As a Sports Facility Worker, you represent our organization and are the face of our hospitality and service. You are also responsible, together with your colleagues, for the maintenance of artificial and natural grass fields, cleaning of activity areas and facilities, as well as the care and maintenance of ice rinks and ski tracks. The work is flexible and varied, where you work both indoors and outdoors. During a workday, you meet many people whom you help and support in various ways. This can involve guiding children to the right changing rooms, providing support to organizers during ongoing events, or ensuring that all visitors feel welcome and are greeted by a clean facility in top condition.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for someone who enjoys providing good service, communicates easily, and is ready to take on new tasks with enthusiasm. We see you as an initiator with a solution-focused mindset who enjoys collaborating and working independently. Your unpretentious attitude, curiosity, and being an integral part of the team are what we value most.

We are looking for someone who has a B driver's license for manual transmission, a high school education or equivalent competence, and basic computer skills. But most importantly, your passion for making our visitors feel welcome and cared for.

Do you have previous experience working at a sports facility, cleaning, or in gardening and machinery? That is definitely a plus! But even more important is your readiness to dive straight into new challenges and learn new skills. Have you not operated an ice machine or tractor before? No problem - if you are ready to learn, we are ready to support you!

A few words from team leader and colleague Malin who works at Farsta IP

I have the most fun job in the world! I contribute to creating conditions for a diverse range of visitors to move, which feels meaningful! For me, the team spirit is incredibly important, and we always strive to make each other better!

Other

To provide Stockholmers with good accessibility, we staff the facility between 6 AM and 12 AM, 7 days a week, which means we work in shifts. We work 39 hours/week with day, evening, and weekend shifts.

For this position, we apply suitability testing and will request an extract from the police's criminal record (equivalent to a school extract) before hiring. Since the processing time can be long, we ask you to request a record extract here: polisen.se (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/skola-eller-forskola/)

Stockholm City works with competency-based recruitment aimed at considering each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
