Kriminalvården is looking for a psychologist for the Saltvik area
Kriminalvården is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand facilities, and client transport.
The Saltvik area includes the prisons Saltvik, Härnösand, and Ljustadalen, as well as the remand facility Saltvik. Within the area, there is a wide range from the open women's prison Ljustadalen to the closed prison Saltvik, which in addition to normal departments also has one of the country's three security units. The prison in Härnösand is also a closed facility. The largest professional group is prison officers, but there are also healthcare professionals, administrative staff, educators, production leaders, etc. The inmates are engaged in education, various treatment programs, or work within the prison's packaging/assembly, laundry, or woodwork. You can easily reach the Saltvik prison and remand facility by bus or car and park in our staff parking. The prison in Härnösand is located in the town center with good bus connections and staff parking. The prison Ljustadalen is just outside Birsta and also offers staff parking and good bus connections.
