JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a night nurse, you will have an important and independent role. You will collaborate with support staff, other nurses, and various healthcare providers in the collective work around our patients. The work is varied and stimulating, with all of Luleå Municipality as your area of responsibility.

Our patients live in care, support, and nursing homes as well as in regular housing. You will use a car for work, and the job includes both planned and unplanned home visits. Your duties also include delegation, medication management, and training and supervision of both staff and patients.

You will meet people in various life situations and with changing needs, making the work both meaningful and diverse. Your role includes assessing health and medical care needs, prioritizing interventions, and providing some telephone advice. You delegate, give advice, and supervise staff in the nursing work around the patients.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with various professionals within the organization as well as with other healthcare providers. Working hours are scheduled for nights according to a roster.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse who wants to work night shifts with us. It is an advantage if you have further education as a specialist nurse, such as a district nurse, elderly care, or psychiatric care.

As a person, you are secure and stable, and you can remain calm even when the pace increases. You are attentive to patients and their relatives and have an easy time building trusting relationships, which is especially important during night shifts where you often work independently. At the same time, you are collaborative and see the value of good interaction with colleagues, night staff, and other professional groups to create a safe and well-functioning work night.

We value a humble approach where you contribute to a good work environment and a work climate where both patients and colleagues feel safe.

The job requires good medical competence as well as good computer skills and documentation ability. You need to express yourself well in both speech and writing. A B driver's license is a requirement.
