Our 1800 employees work with close care and health in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within habilitation, and we provide advice over the phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we adapt our services based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

There is now a unique opportunity to be part of our initiative where we are hiring more district doctors for Östhammar Health Center with the aim of offering 1100 listed patients per full-time district doctor by 2026. Be part of it from the start, and there are excellent opportunities to influence our new working methods, patient flows, and scheduling! We offer permanent positions at 75-100%, and the working hours will be discussed based on the applicant's preferences. Start date according to agreement.

Your Mission

With us, you will work closely with all professions at the health center and in teams. Your tasks will consist of outpatient work with good opportunities for other stimulating tasks such as mentoring BT/AT/ST doctors and responsibility for various clinical processes based on interest. As part of the job, you will be involved in developing our operations, and there are good opportunities to influence work arrangements and scheduling, thus affecting your work environment. Some on-call/standby duty is included, as is the case throughout primary care in Region Uppsala. We offer the possibility to work partially remotely.

If interested, there is an opportunity to combine your work at the health center with work at the Close Care Unit, which is a care department located at the health center.

Your Competence

We are looking for you who are a doctor with specialist competence in general medicine with a Swedish license and good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written. Since we are now at a stage where we have great opportunities to develop our operations, it is advantageous if you have an interest in healthcare development with a focus on patients and patient flows. It is also good if you appreciate working in teams around patients with other professionals to achieve effective flows. We place great importance on personal qualities.

Our Operations

We are the health center with great opportunities and are looking for you who want to develop together with us! Here, care is provided within the health center, which consists of a health center, emergency reception, close care unit, and short-term unit, and we have radiology and lab in the same building.

We are located near the sea in a beautiful archipelago environment in Östhammar, with good connections, about 70 km from Uppsala. The bus stops nearby, and there is free parking at the health center. All professions work closely together here to provide the best possible care, and you can become part of our team!

We have about 6500 listed patients, and we are 30 employees who offer most services within primary care. We have very well-functioning nurse-led clinics. At the health center, we work to provide our patients with the best possible care. We value a good and stimulating work environment with personal solutions.
