Do you want to design electronics that must work when it really matters?

As an electronics developer in the defense industry, you will work closely with the technology in some of Sweden's most advanced systems — ranging from aviation platforms and marine systems to ground-based solutions and sensor technology. You will design electronics that are robust, long-lasting, and reliable in extreme environments where quality and safety are never compromised.

At AFRY, you can work through the entire or parts of the development chain – from concept and requirements analysis to schematic design, PCB layout, component selection, and work with signal and power integrity. Depending on the project, you may also delve into simulations, environmental and EMC testing, or advanced troubleshooting in the lab. In some assignments, production engineering work focusing on electronics is also included, such as industrialization, manufacturability, or testing strategies. Regardless of the assignment, you will collaborate closely with firmware, system, and test engineers in cross-functional teams where you collectively create the whole.

You can work either at our clients in Stockholm or from our in-house team in Solna, and you will have the opportunity to develop in the technical areas you wish to specialize in.

Qualifications

Who we are looking for – requirements and merits

You have:

- Deep knowledge of electronics and electronics development.

- Teamwork and technical collaboration.

Experience in one or more of these areas:

• Electronic design (digital and analog design).

• PCB layout.

• Signal and/or power integrity simulations.

• Testing and troubleshooting in the lab (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and preferably RF instruments).

• Design tools such as Cadence Allegro, Altium, or Siemens Xpedition (preferably several).

Meritorious:

• Experience in EMC design or tools such as ADS, HFSS, HyperLynx.

• FPGA/ASIC, IP design, or HW-near programming.

• Previous experience in defense, volunteer organizations, Home Guard, or completed military service.

• High-speed links, RF design, wireless communication.

Security Clearance
You must be a Swedish citizen. The role involves security clearance, which provides access to advanced technology and systems that few other engineers have access to.
