We at Dalarna's Assistive Devices Center, Technical Service department, are looking for an Assistive Device Technician who will also take on the role of team leader for our two teams: the Ceiling Lift Team and External Service. Technical Service operates throughout Dalarna and consists of 16 dedicated employees. Every day, our technician buses depart from Avesta, Borlänge, Falun, Ludvika, and Mora to provide service to our citizens.

We are looking for an assistive device technician who also enjoys administration, is engaged and coaching, and wants to contribute to both job satisfaction and smart, efficient working methods.

The team leader has a central role and is responsible for leading employees in our two teams in their daily work. You ensure that tasks are carried out efficiently and that the teams achieve their goals based on established plans and guidelines. The role involves functioning as an important link between employees, department heads, and other functions in the organization.

Our technicians work throughout Dalarna and have significant responsibility for their geographical areas. Your task is to be the "spider in the web" that creates structure, clarity, and a calm working environment in the group.

The assignment also includes administrative support, such as working in our operational system Sesam, planning resources, holding meetings, and coordinating incoming tasks. To provide effective support in daily work, good knowledge of MS365 is required. We also actively work with digitalization to simplify workflows and streamline administration.

Your primary employment will be as an assistive device technician, and in addition, you will receive a fixed-term team leader appointment for three years. The team leader role does not involve personnel responsibility but is about supporting the team and developing our working methods.

To gain good insight into the organization, you will also work in the field as an assistive device technician. This involves performing inspections, deliveries, and pickups, as well as preventive and corrective maintenance of various assistive devices, such as wheelchairs, beds, patient lifts, and other medical technical products.

The technician's task is to ensure that customers at home, in schools, and in special housing receive the right assistive devices and that these function safely and optimally. The work is varied and diverse and requires good physical ability as heavy lifting occurs. Since we work closely with people in their daily lives - through all stages of life - approachability, responsiveness, and engagement are crucial qualities.

Requirements:

• Technical high school education or equivalent education/experience deemed equivalent.
• Experience in technical work, preferably as a service technician or in repairs.
• Driver's license B (manual transmission).
• Good knowledge and experience of working in MS 365.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.
• Experience in leadership.

Meritorious:

• Experience working with medical technical products or assistive devices.
• Knowledge in mechanics, electronics, or workshop technology.
• Education in assistive device technology, ergonomics, or materials science.
• Experience with and use of the operational system Sesam2.
