ABOUT THE POSITION

Adapteo is the leading provider of flexible, modular, and sustainable building solutions in the Nordics, from offices and schools to housing and healthcare facilities. The company builds adaptable buildings that can be scaled up, scaled down, moved, or reused. Adapteo uses a circular business model where the lifespan of the modules is extended, resources are used efficiently, and the carbon footprint is minimized, with a focus on reuse, resource efficiency, and fossil-free transportation.

Adapteo is currently building a new state-of-the-art facility in Uppsala, an investment that brings together workshop, warehouse, office, and showroom under one roof and will be an important part of the company's future production and growth. As a modular repair technician at Adapteo, you will have a unique role where you help build, repair, and improve modular solutions from start to finished product. You will begin with thorough training and start with demolition, where you bring in modules, remove what needs to be taken away, and prepare them for production. Depending on the project, experience, and your strengths, you will then have the opportunity to specialize in a station or work area, such as caulking, painting, flooring, installation of plumbing and radiators, roof and panel work, and final preparations for transport. This way, you learn step by step and grow into the part of production that suits you best.

A typical day starts with the team gathering to go through the day's plan together with colleagues and supervisors. During the day, you will work closely with your colleagues, learn new tasks, share ideas, and contribute to improvements in the workflow. The role is practical, varied, and developmental; you continuously build your skills and take responsibility. Initially, the work will take place at Adapteo's hub in Enköping, but in the long run, everything will move to the new state-of-the-art facility in Uppsala, where you will be part of an exciting growth journey.

This is a consultancy assignment, meaning you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at Adapteo. The assignment will be full-time and long-term. There are very good chances for permanent employment, provided that all parties are satisfied with the collaboration.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

• Participate in demolition and preparation of modules for production, bring in modules, remove what needs to be removed, and prepare for the next step
• Work with various tasks in production, such as:
• Caulking and preparing materials for production stations
• Carpentry work
• Painting and wallpapering
• Flooring
• Installation of ventilation
• Plumbing work
• Exterior roofing work
• Finalization and preparation for transport
• Follow established instructions and safety procedures to ensure quality and efficiency in the work and maintain a safe working environment
• Report progress and any deviations to the supervisor
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute ideas for improving workflows and processes
• Be involved in the training of new employees as the team grows, together with the supervisor and hub manager

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has experience in practical work in construction, craftsmanship, or similar, such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, ventilation, flooring, roofing, or other practical work we deem relevant
• Enjoys physical, practical work and appreciates variety in everyday life
• Has a 3A license for lifts/mobile platforms (1-day training can be offered)
• Is very comfortable with Swedish as it is required to perform the work

It is meritorious, but not a requirement, if you have:

• Previous experience in modular production or similar tasks
• Experience in leading and training colleagues
• Good understanding of drawings
• Forklift license, preferably A4 & B1
