About the position
ANOVA is a multidisciplinary operation based on interdisciplinary principles that works for treatment, development, and research in andrology, sexual medicine, and transgender medicine. Our overarching mission is to prevent sexual and reproductive ill health, sexual violence, and to investigate and treat individuals with gender dysphoria. At the clinic, psychologists, nurses, doctors, biomedical analysts, psychotherapists, social workers, and administrative staff work together. We collaborate around the patient in multidisciplinary teams, and in addition to clinical work, several research projects are conducted.
As a psychologist at ANOVA, your main placement will be in the nationally highly specialized care within the transgender medicine team. Here, individuals with gender dysphoria are assessed and treated. As a psychologist with us, you will conduct independent assessment work in close collaboration with other psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare staff. You will have the opportunity to receive both peer supervision and external supervision. The head of ANOVA is a doctoral psychologist. If interested, there is also the possibility to make assessments and provide psychological treatment for sexual medical conditions.
You will have the opportunity to participate in various research projects and contribute to your own and the clinic's development through internal training, regular psychologist meetings, and collaborate for method development in treatment work. As an employee with us, you are encouraged to be interested in research and development and to continuously participate in the transgender professional networks. ANOVA's mission also includes educational initiatives for other healthcare providers.
The job tasks include, among other things, conducting assessments for gender dysphoria, diagnostics, and to some extent psychotherapy. You will provide individual support as well as group support throughout the transition process, and offer advice and support to relatives. You will also participate in profession-specific networks and multidisciplinary team meetings. If interested, you can also work on assessing, diagnosing, and providing psychological treatment, both individually and in groups, for individuals with risky sexual behavior, compulsive sexual behavior disorder, sexual deviations, and dysfunctions. You will also handle inquiries in the helpline PrevenTell.
