Care Assistant/ Nursing Assistant for the Emergency Unit

The Psychiatric Clinic is part of the Primary Care Area of Skellefteå, along with the Emergency Department, Center for Surgical Operations, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, and Primary Care in Skellefteå and Norsjö municipalities. Together, we strive for good and close care.

The Psychiatric Clinic consists of approximately 250 employees. We provide both outpatient and inpatient care, as well as psychiatric compulsory care. We have 2 general psychiatric wards and one addiction ward. The outpatient care has several units including 2 adult clinics, a young adult clinic, an addiction clinic, emergency and assessment units, and other specialized outpatient care units.

The clinic's reception work targets the age group 18 - 25 years at the Young/Adult reception, and 25 years and older at reception 1 and 2. Our workgroups consist of caregivers, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, doctors, social workers, and secretaries. We work with patients in need of interventions at the specialist psychiatric level and perform various types of treatments, assessments, and investigations.

We are now looking for a care assistant/nursing assistant who wants to work with us in the Emergency Unit, which is an acute service where the work is exciting and varied in a developing organization. Our workgroup consists of caregivers, nursing assistants, psychiatric nurses, psychologists, medical secretaries, and doctors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Care Assistant/Nursing Assistant with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel safe.

In the emergency and assessment unit, you will work in a team with emergency doctors and other staff in the unit. You will also collaborate with staff in outpatient and inpatient care and with relatives and caregivers. The work largely consists of emergency work where acute assessments are an important part, both via phone and during acute patient visits. Working hours are scheduled with one evening a week and every third weekend.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a trained and experienced care assistant/nursing assistant who has the ability to see the whole picture and the willingness to work in a workplace where the patient is always prioritized. Other valuable qualities we seek are teamwork and flexibility, as well as the ability to work independently. Experience in specialist psychiatry and working with substance abuse is an advantage.
