Why this job is for you You thrive when everything is not yet fully mapped out. When the direction is clear, but the path needs to be shaped together. As a Technical Project Manager with us, you will play a key role in helping our clients transition from complex technical challenges to functional, producible, and sustainable solutions.

You will work closely with design, production, suppliers, and customers, not just to coordinate – but to create alignment, build trust, and drive development forward. You see both the details that determine quality here and now, and the big picture that determines our long-term success.

As a consultant with us, you get the best of both worlds: the variety and impact of client assignments – and the security, belonging, and development of a team that truly cares. The office is our common base, where ideas are shared, skills grow, and people can take space.

The way forward is not just in your hands – we walk it together through continuous follow-up and adaptation of your individual development.

You will work within our business area Hardware & Design, where we combine broad engineering expertise with deep specialist knowledge and a user-centered approach – to develop physical products and digital experiences all the way from concept to large-scale production.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and develop projects from idea to finished product with a focus on quality, time, and budget

  • Help clients make the right technical and business decisions through structure, dialogue, and clear prioritization

  • Gather and lead cross-functional teams in design, production, and supply chain

  • Identify risks, solve technical challenges, and ensure that projects adhere to relevant standards

  • Contribute to developing working methods, processes, and how we conduct technical project management – together with colleagues and clients

Qualifications You are curious, responsible, and solution-oriented. You enjoy taking initiative, creating structure in complexity, and helping others succeed. You don’t need to know everything from the start – but you want to learn, develop, and take on greater responsibility over time.

We would like you to have:

  • An engineering degree (Master's or Bachelor's) in fields such as mechanical engineering, industrial economics, electrical engineering, or equivalent

  • Experience in technical project management, product development, or a leading technical role

  • Understanding of product development processes, manufacturing, and quality

  • Experience with or interest in project management tools and structured working methods

  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English

  • As some of our assignments are subject to defense secrecy, a security clearance may be required for the role.

For us, your attitude, drive, and potential are at least as important as the number of years in the profession. For us, technical project management is more than just keeping plans and deliveries together. It is a responsibility, a trust, and an opportunity to make a difference – for our clients, our partners, and each other. We are now looking for you who want to lift your gaze, take responsibility, and grow with us. We seek you with the right drive, attitude, and willingness to contribute.

An exciting journey with Knightec Group Semcon and Knightec have merged to form Knightec Group. Together, we are Northern Europe's leading strategic partner in product and digital service development – how cool is that?

With a unique combination of cross-functional expertise and a holistic understanding of business, we help our clients realize their strategies – from idea to finished solution. At Knightec Group, we have the competence, attitude, and drive required to take on the most challenging and innovative projects.

For our employees, this means fantastic opportunities to help shape the future through meaningful projects at the forefront of technology. Here, you will not only develop and grow, but also become part of something bigger.

Does this sound like the place for you? Join us on an exciting journey!

Practical information This is a permanent position, located at our office in Västerås, Kopparbergsvägen 11A. Travel for work may occur to our clients. Start date is as soon as possible or by agreement.

Please submit your application as soon as possible, but no later than 2026-02-22. If you have any questions about the position, feel free to contact Elin Berg, Talent Acquisition Specialist. Please note that, due to GDPR, we only accept applications via our career page.

We look forward to hearing from you!
