Örnsköldsvik's southern parish is looking for a cantor with a heart for parish life and a natural passion for music.

We are looking for someone who wants to contribute musical quality and presence in services and church contexts and wants to be part of a vibrant and engaged parish life.

As a cantor with us, you will have an important role in the parish's everyday life. You will work closely with another cantor and our other staff to create a lively parish life together. You will be responsible for the music at services and church ceremonies and participate in other activities such as devotions at nursing homes. The position includes choir activities with a focus on creating joy in music and community. You will also be responsible for the care and maintenance of the parish's instruments.

We are looking for someone who has a cantor education at least at level C, a B driver's license, and access to a car. You have basic computer skills, are a member of the Church of Sweden, and share its faith and life. Experience working in parish life is an asset, as is experience in similar tasks.

You are collaborative and enjoy working with others. You are independent, flexible, and have the ability to plan and drive your work forward and can analyze situations and find solutions. We value your ability to engage and inspire people of different ages and that you contribute to an open, creative, and positive work environment. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends. As part of the recruitment process, an audition may be relevant. Selection will take place continuously, and the application deadline is February 23.
