About Salt & Sill

On the old herring island Klädesholmen outside Tjörn lies Salt & Sill, surrounded by Bohuslän's salty cliffs and skerries. We are Sweden's first floating hotel and one of the west coast's most appreciated archipelago destinations, with a hotel, conference, and restaurant – right by the dock.

Our business has been operated in its current form since the early 2000s and is characterized by a strong passion for food, people, and hospitality. The proximity to the sea and local ingredients permeates both our menus and guest experiences. We are a seasonal business with a high pace during parts of the year, where collaboration, responsibility, and engagement are crucial for the whole.

About the position

We are now looking for waitresses and waiters for our service team ahead of the summer season. The position primarily covers the period from April to September, with the possibility of extension even after the season. Working hours are scheduled for weekdays and weekends, during the day and evening.

This is how we usually describe the position

As a waitress or waiter with us, you are a central part of the guest experience. You meet our guests with presence, professionalism, and personal hospitality, contributing to creating a pleasant and lively atmosphere in the restaurant. The role suits you if you thrive in a fast-paced environment, appreciate collaboration, and have an eye for both details and the bigger picture.

Your responsibilities in the role

In this role, you are responsible for welcoming guests and providing them with a professional and warm service experience. You take orders, give recommendations regarding food and drinks, and serve in an efficient and caring manner. You ensure order and cleanliness in the serving area and follow up on guests' experiences during their visit. If necessary, you handle feedback and questions in a solution-oriented and professional manner, in close collaboration with colleagues in service and the kitchen.

Who we believe you are

We believe you have at least three years of experience working as a waitress or waiter in a restaurant environment. You are confident in your role, have good communication skills, and can work effectively even when the pace is high. Collaboration is a given for you, and you actively contribute to a positive work environment. You are service-oriented, responsible, and have a genuine interest in guest interaction. Good knowledge of food and beverages is an advantage. You speak Swedish and English fluently, both spoken and written.

With us, you will

With us, you will work in a unique archipelago environment and become part of an engaged service team with strong cohesion and joy at work. You will be offered varied seasonal work in a business where hospitality, quality, and collaboration are in focus. Staff accommodation is available, and salary is according to agreement.

Practical information

The employment is seasonal and primarily covers the period from April to September, with the possibility of extension. Working hours are scheduled for weekdays and weekends, during the day and evening. The workplace is located on Klädesholmen, Tjörn.

Application Recruitment is ongoing, so we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible. We look forward to hearing from you and together creating memorable dining experiences for our guests at Salt & Sill.
