We need to strengthen our shipping department with an additional person. The job primarily involves working with vessel calls to our port in Elleholm. You will, together with your colleagues, manage contacts with shipping companies, vessels, and customers. The work includes office tasks, reporting to and communicating with authorities (Police Authority, Coast Guard, Maritime Administration, etc.), document management, and visits on board incoming vessels, customs clearance of vessels and their cargo.

We prefer that the applicant has an interest in shipping in general, even if practical experience is lacking. Other tasks include invoicing and various general office administration. We use the Fortnox business system.

Since the work with vessel calls is quite specific, you will be trained by colleagues on the specific details.

The position is full-time with working hours from 07:30 to 16:00. The job also includes on-call duty evenings and weekends every third week. A probationary period of 6 months applies.

Desired qualities and skills of the applicant:

· Good English in speech and writing

· B driver's license

· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

As a person, you are service-oriented, calm, and self-assured with the ability to make independent decisions. A security check of the applicant may occur.

Schweden Splitt AB is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Basalt Actien Gesellschaft (BAG) in Germany. Here in Sweden, we operate quarrying activities in Elleholm, beautifully located on the Baltic Sea coast in Karlshamn municipality. Our facility can currently produce up to one million tons per year, and we have about 25 people at the workplace.

The products are sold locally with delivery by truck, but the majority of the production is shipped abroad and delivered by vessels loaded at the company's own port next to the quarry. The company is Sweden's largest exporter of crushed stone products for construction purposes, with customers ranging from Estonia in the north to Denmark in the west.
