The City Environment Administration has a comprehensive responsibility for the city's public spaces and overall accessibility.

We work to create accessible, attractive, and vibrant urban environments and natural areas. The administration owns and manages the tram network in Gothenburg. Approximately 900 people work in the administration.

The City Environment Administration is part of the urban development administrations in Gothenburg. Job Responsibilities

Are you a service-oriented and responsible person who thrives in a dynamic work environment with varied tasks? In this position, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our properties, creating a safe and pleasant environment for our employees.

The properties for the department's operations encompass a total area of 55,000 square meters and five larger buildings. You will work with a department consisting of approximately 400 employees and managers.

This position differs from a traditional property caretaker role as it includes elements of property management, and you will also participate in the development of properties, such as charging infrastructure.

As a Property Caretaker, your main responsibilities will include:

• Operation, supervision, and maintenance of buildings as well as preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshooting in the properties' technical systems such as heating, ventilation, and sanitation, as well as access control systems, door closers, and similar.
• Coordination of office spaces and changing rooms.
• First point of contact for operations regarding property issues and responsible for the department's buildings.
• Contact and service with contractors.
• Orders, purchases, and invoice management within property-related areas.
• Responsible for contracts related to the properties.
• Participation in the department's SBA work (systematic fire protection work) and responsibility as a facility caretaker.
• Independent and problem-solving work, where you are expected to make decisions and drive matters forward.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has education as a property caretaker or other relevant education/experience that the employer deems equivalent.
• Has documented experience in property maintenance.
• Has experience in a similar role with a combination of practical and administrative tasks.
• Has knowledge of occupational health and safety work related to property maintenance.
• Has good knowledge of digital systems, such as case management systems, reporting, digital documentation, and invoice management.
• Can express yourself well in Swedish both orally and in writing.
• Has a B driver's license.

As a person, you are flexible, communicative, and meticulous in your work. You are collaborative and have a good understanding of the importance of maintaining a high level of service. You enjoy working with varied assignments consisting of operational tasks, such as handling fault reports and driving smaller property projects.
