Svensk Kärnbränslehantering AB (SKB) is now seeking a laboratory technician for the water chemistry laboratory in Forsmark. Here you will play an important role in Sweden's nuclear technology operations, working with analyses, sampling, and quality assurance within water chemistry.

As a laboratory technician at SKB's water chemistry laboratory, you will perform routine analyses, sample preparation, and compilation of results. The work is carried out according to established methods and documentation procedures in SKB's quality system. Some field sampling may occur. The role requires great precision, responsibility, and the ability to work independently with elements of problem-solving.

You will be part of a nuclear technology operation where safety, quality, and traceability are central aspects of the work. New consultants undergo introductory training and gain access to SKB's management system.

We are looking for someone who works in a structured, methodical manner with high precision. You thrive in an environment with clear routines, possess good analytical skills, and appreciate both practical and laboratory work. You are confident, stable, and can take responsibility for your tasks even when working independently.

• High school education with a chemistry or technical focus, or equivalent.

• Ability to follow established laboratory routines and governing documents.

• Good computer skills and the ability to work in digital quality systems.

• Experience in analytical work according to SS‑EN ISO/IEC 17025.

• Experience in laboratory work within water chemistry, environment, industry, or similar.

• Experience in field sampling.

• Location: Forsmark

• Working hours: Daytime

• Scope: Consulting assignment from 15/3 to 23/12 (chance of extension)

Some travel and allowances may occur according to SKB's guidelines. The assignment is part of nuclear technology operations and follows relevant safety requirements.
