This assignment is aimed at those who have experience selling test, measurement, and instrumentation solutions or related to industrial and technical operations – and who are used to driving business where technical understanding, application knowledge, and trust are crucial.

Sales in Sweden are in a building phase where the right technical and commercial competence is crucial.

About the assignment

This is an operational and business-oriented assignment focused on building sales in testing, measurement, and instrumentation in the Swedish market. You will work independently with great freedom to direct your efforts, but in close dialogue with the company's owners, and are expected to take clear ownership of customer dialogue and the business.

Orbitron works consultatively and project-based, which means that sales are based on the customer's application, measurement needs, and technical challenges rather than standardized products. Your role will be to translate technical understanding into business benefits in dialogue with the customer.

The assignment primarily targets businesses where testing and measurement are business-critical, for example:

  • automotive industry and testing operations

  • process and manufacturing industry

  • energy, materials, and industry-related applications

  • environments with high demands on precision, reliability, and performance

You will drive sales by engaging in qualified dialogues with technical and operational decision-makers, such as technical managers, testing and development managers, production and maintenance managers, quality functions, and in some cases purchasing. To succeed in the assignment, you need to connect measurement technical solutions and systems to actual customer benefits.

Your focus is on the customer, business, and relationships. Administration, quote work, and supplier dialogues are handled internally, and there is deep technical expertise readily available within the organization.

Who we are looking for

You are a self-driven technical salesperson or business developer with experience selling technical solutions in complex environments. You have worked with industrial customers for many years and are comfortable in dialogues where technical credibility is crucial for the business.

You have a good understanding of:

  • testing and measurement applications

  • industrial processes and development environments

  • how technical decision processes actually look

You likely already have an established network within the automotive and/or industrial sector, or you work in a way that allows you to quickly engage with the right decision-makers and build trust.

You value an assignment with a clear mandate, high degree of freedom, and a business-oriented focus. Perhaps you are already working as a consultant, or you have previously held a commercial leadership role but prefer an operational position where you drive the business yourself.

Conditions

  • Interim assignment as a subcontractor (own company required)

  • Scope: approximately 50%

  • Start: by agreement

  • Initial assignment length: 6 months, with the possibility of extension

  • Flexible working method with customer meetings at the client's location
