About the role

It is important to meet different people from their perspectives, be communicative, and have the ability to ask for help and set boundaries. You will work closely with your colleagues, where you are expected to contribute energy, be proactive, and have good collaboration skills. You are driven by the desire to contribute to a more inclusive society and value issues related to the rights and health of the elderly. Of course, you want to work for a more humane society and share our values.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has completed or is currently pursuing education as a nursing assistant/behavioral scientist/social worker or similar
- Is curious about other people, especially the elderly
- Is used to collaborating with colleagues
- Is attentive and flexible
- Is willing to perform practical work
- Is service-oriented and has a warm demeanor
- Has a playful mind and is creative in creating positive camp memories for our seniors
- Communicates well in speech and writing
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with the elderly
- Education and/or experience in service and care
We place great emphasis on personal suitability and that you fit into the small workgroup we have and are suitable for the work performed at the camp. We will prioritize those who can work multiple periods, and to proceed in the recruitment, you need to be able to work at least 3 periods during the spring.
At Meeting Place Stenfasta, we also have other operations; Family Camp and conferences. Therefore, you have the opportunity to work more than the dates below if you are interested and deemed suitable based on the criteria requested in these operations.
Spring dates:
- February 17 to February 20
- March 23 to March 27
- April 13 to April 17
- April 27 to May 1
- May 18 to May 22
Other
- Up to 100% of the working hours are allocated to Stenfasta, which is located in Stallarholmen, 75 km from Stockholm, and you are expected to be able to get there on your own

Welcome with your application!
Stockholm City Mission is a non-profit organization that works to create a more humane society for all. We do this by working with social care, education, and labor integration. Something we have been doing since 1853 when we were founded to help those who were worst off in society.
Our goal is for everyone to gain new life chances, strengthen their empowerment, and be involved in society. Stockholm City Mission offers people emergency help, advice, and support for social rights, housing, work training, and education to prevent and break social exclusion. Our primary tool is that people strengthen their belief in themselves and their own abilities. In this way, we together create a sustainable and more humane society for all.
