We are now looking for a person for our client in Malmö who wants to take clear ownership of how master data is structured, quality assured, and used in the business. This is an operational and hands-on role with significant responsibility, where you will also help shape how the work with master data and data governance will develop moving forward.

The role suits you who want to combine master data, analysis, and technology – without getting stuck in heavy development or manual Excel work. The client is open to consulting arrangements in the short term, with the ambition of a long-term solution and employment.

You will be the hub for product and business data in the client's system landscape – from business systems and POS to e-commerce and BI. A central part of the role is to take full ownership of master data: ensuring that product data is complete, correct, and enriched at all levels. If data is missing, you will make sure it is in place.

The focus is on creating order, quality, and sustainable working methods around data, rather than building advanced technical solutions.

The work involves, among other things:

• Working operationally with master data: structuring, quality assuring, and correcting data in various systems

• Ensuring that common and reliable business data is available throughout the organization

• Developing and managing rules, guidelines, and processes for data management

• Working closely with IT, purchasing, assortment, e-commerce, logistics, and analysis

• Driving improvement initiatives related to data quality, efficiency, and information flows

The role is not a pure developer role but requires a technical interest and understanding of how systems and data flows are interconnected. The client would like you to have experience or interest in:

• Power BI – reporting, data modeling, and quality assurance

• Data validations, controls, or simpler automations

• Understanding of data flows between systems and how data quality affects the business

We are looking for someone who:

• Is structured, meticulous, and takes clear ownership

• Thrives in an operational role with a strong focus on improvement

• Is communicative and enjoys working cross-functionally

• Is relatively independent, proactive, and wants to drive issues forward

Basic technical skills, such as SQL, scripts, or simpler automations, are advantageous – but the right attitude and interest weigh heavily.
