Technical Instructor for JAS 39 Gripen - Air Systems Division

The Air Systems Division conducts technical training on all types of aircraft within the Armed Forces. You will serve in the Combat Aircraft Section, which is part of the Air Systems Division. Here you have the opportunity to develop as a technician and officer through teaching and pedagogy.

Main Responsibilities

The work consists of being a teacher in both theoretical and practical subjects within technical service on the JAS 39 Gripen. We work with digital training methods and pedagogy, creativity, and approved data are guiding stars in our development. Teaching is conducted in Swedish but also in English as we have several international operators with us. The position may also involve support to our other departments within our area of expertise.

You will be part of a team that together creates quality-assured technical training for combat aircraft for tomorrow's technicians.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Specialist Officer (SO7)
• Type Course/Certificate Authorization JAS 39 C/D
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Driver's license at least class B manual.

You should have an interest in acquiring new knowledge and be constantly driven to improve pedagogy in learning. Flexibility beyond your own area of responsibility is a necessity, both to support in other areas of expertise and to solve various forms of common tasks, such as designing new courses. You are used to working independently. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Other

The position is a military appointment and is a permanent employment, a six-month probationary period applies for those who are currently not employed by the Armed Forces. The position is located at FMTS in Halmstad. Start date according to agreement. Travel may occur in the position and training takes place in an international environment.
