RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of Safety and Preparedness Coordinator, you will lead and coordinate the municipality's work in safety, security, and preparedness. You will work both strategically and operationally with issues related to crime prevention and safety promotion, continuity management, crisis preparedness, civil defense, and security protection, as well as parts of IT and information security.

The work includes planning and developing the municipality's crisis management functions. This includes conducting exercises and training in crisis management. You will also have a central role in the municipality's crisis support and in the POSOM operations.

Your tasks will include preparing investigations and consultation responses, as well as ensuring that the municipality complies with applicable laws, regulations, and authority requirements in the area.

The role includes collaboration in various networks, both internally within the municipality's operations and companies, as well as externally with authorities and other organizations. Through collaboration with the Rescue Service and Jönköping Municipality, you will also have access to colleagues in the same profession, which creates good conditions for experience exchange, knowledge sharing, and joint development.

You will be the municipality's contact person with actors within the framework of F-cooperation, which includes police, rescue services, region, SOS Alarm, the armed forces, and the county administrative board.

Expertise in all areas is not required from the start. There are good opportunities for professional development if there are areas where knowledge is initially lacking.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a relevant educational background for the position, such as police education or training in safety and preparedness coordination.

You have documented experience of working in safety and/or preparedness, which is a requirement for the role. You need to be able to work both strategically and operationally and have the ability to switch between these perspectives based on the needs of the organization. The role also includes planning, conducting, and leading presentations, training, and exercises for different target groups within the organization.

The role requires you to work independently while also being able to collaborate and build good relationships both internally and externally. It is an advantage if you have experience working in a politically governed organization.

You express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and are comfortable presenting in front of groups. You have good analytical skills, see the big picture, and work in a structured and meticulous manner.

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.

The position will require a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) upon employment. A successful security clearance and security protection qualification are required for employment.
