Fire Technician at Avarn Security

Avarn Security is tasked with delivering personnel security services to the Saab Group in Sweden and abroad. The delivery is a significant part of a coordinated security delivery with Avarn Security's security and technology organization.

The coordinated security delivery is one of Sweden's most complex, dynamic, and visible assignments with a nationwide customer responsibility for the group.

About the Position

You will be regionally responsible for the systematic fire protection work and be part of an organization with other fire protection coordinators across the country. You will report to, and continuously coordinate with, the person who is nationally responsible for the SBA delivery within the assignment.

The role includes, among other things, being responsible for the systematic fire protection work at the site/sites, conducting fire protection rounds, and identifying deficiencies and deviations. It also includes planning and partially executing annual inspections of fire equipment, planning and conducting evacuation drills, as well as establishing/revising action plans. You will also participate and represent Avarn Security in certain meetings with the client, as well as plan and conduct training for the client's staff.

In summary, you will perform both practical and administrative work at multiple addresses for the client and have a lot of customer contact, which is why we place great importance on your personality as you will have varying tasks and need to structure and prioritize between them.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for someone with experience working as a fire technician, who is trained as a fire protection coordinator or has equivalent competence. If you also have any of the following qualifications or competencies, it is an advantage: Facility manager for fire alarms and sprinklers, annual inspection/service of fire equipment (primarily portable fire extinguishers), and instructor or certification in hot work.

You should also have good computer skills as you will work a lot with documentation. Great emphasis will also be placed on your personal qualities, as you will be responsible for managing and planning your time and ensuring that tasks are completed. Therefore, we place great importance on you being self-driven, proactive, and a true problem solver.

The position is classified in a security class, which is why a security check and background check will be conducted, and Swedish citizenship is a requirement for the position. A driver's license is also required.

In addition, you need to be without a criminal record*, drug-free, have a stable economy, a high school diploma, and good health and fitness to be employed at Avarn Security.
