Within the Health and Medical Care Office, Welfare Gävle's licensed employees work, such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, and nursing assistants. The office is divided into five teams, four of which are geographically divided into South, North, East, and West. The fifth team is a rehabilitation team consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and physical therapists.

The employees are active in home healthcare, care and nursing homes, as well as LSS/social psychiatry and perform tasks according to the Health and Medical Care Act. The Health and Medical Care Office conducts primary care under municipal management and is responsible for providing good health and medical care. The goal is equal care for all citizens.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse within the Health and Medical Care Office, you play a key role in creating security for Gävle's residents during the night hours. Here, you become an important part of the municipality's health and medical care, and you make a difference every shift.

You work night shifts in a team with another nurse and are responsible for health and medical care interventions for patients in the municipality's care and nursing homes, home healthcare, LSS, and social psychiatry. The work is independent and varied, including both planned interventions, medical assessments on-site, and advice via phone to patients, relatives, and nursing staff.

Your tasks include:

• Performing planned health and medical care interventions
• Conducting medical assessments on-site and via phone
• Providing qualified advice to patients, relatives, and nursing staff
• Responsible for medical documentation according to applicable guidelines

You work preventively with a focus on the patient's health and well-being and always take a holistic approach to ensure good, safe, and quality care. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues in health and medical care and nursing. You belong to one of our area offices and report to the responsible manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a nurse within the Health and Medical Care Office, you help create security when it is most needed during all hours of the night. You are a significant part of the municipality's health and medical care and make a difference for Gävle's residents every shift.

• Are a licensed nurse and comfortable working independently, especially at night
• Have experience as a nurse
• Have a B driver's license and driving experience
• Communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and are familiar with documentation

It is an advantage for the position if you have specialist training as a district nurse or in geriatrics or if you have experience in municipal health and medical care. It is also desirable if you have experience with journal systems such as Treserva, TES, Lifecare, Pascal, and NPÖ.
