About the Role
Do you want to be an important part of the energy transition? Vattenfall Services is Sweden's leading contracting company in the energy and electrical power sector, and we are developing Sweden's energy infrastructure! With us, you work in a future-oriented industry with a strong focus on a sustainable future. We need more energy heroes who, together with us, want to make a difference for the entire society.
Vattenfall Services Teknikakademi is a 7-month program where you get the chance to specialize as either a Control Systems Engineer or Designer. The training includes both practical work in your intended department and digital lectures led by the University of Väst.
The program starts in the fall of 2026 with a joint introduction for all new employees. In addition to deepening your technical knowledge, you will also gain a large network. You will complete the theoretical components together with the other participants in the Teknikakademin and will receive support from experienced colleagues who help you develop in your role.
As a Control Systems Engineer, you will belong to a department consisting of several Control Systems Engineers and some Project Managers. The main task of the Control Systems Engineers is to work with troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of control equipment such as relay protection, automation, and remote controls.
Vattenfall Services does not own any stations; all our work takes place at our customers' facilities. As a control systems engineer, you will work partly from the office, but the majority of your time will be spent at the customers' facilities.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is driven, curious, and enjoys solving complex problems. You work in a structured manner and always have safety in focus — at Vattenfall Services, safety always comes first.
You have a strong technical interest and appreciate working closely with others. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will have many points of contact and therefore need to be skilled at collaborating with different professional groups and stakeholders, both internally and externally.
We know that you will develop with us, but we would like you to already have:
- Higher vocational education or equivalent in electrical power, electrical network design, preparation, or project planning, which ends no later than spring 2026. Alternatively, you are currently working as an industrial electrician, station or signal technician, automation technician, preparer, or designer/projector within property, electricity, or electrical power.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
- Driver's license (B).

We are a large and secure employer that still feels familiar, where employee safety, well-being, and collaboration are important parts of our corporate culture!
At Vattenfall Services, you can make a difference, and together we take responsibility for a sustainable energy transition, together we give power to a fossil-free life.
