Our elderly care is looking for summer temp workers, nursing assistants, and care assistants who want to contribute to safe and quality care work in Danderyd Municipality.

In our elderly care facilities, care work and services are tailored to the individual needs of the residents, aiming to improve quality of life and encourage a sustainable and healthy lifestyle. Here, individuals with extensive needs require care and support around the clock. Our day activities are designed for older adults with cognitive illnesses who live at home and visit us for stimulating activities and social interaction with others. The night and alarm patrol is responsible for planned interventions during the night and for responding to emergency alarms that go off around the clock in Danderyd Municipality. The short-term accommodation accepts older adults in need of short-term care, and in our care and nursing homes, older adults with somatic and cognitive illnesses reside. The elderly care services are located throughout the municipality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of nursing assistant and care assistant at a facility, you provide residents with a meaningful everyday life by offering personal care, support, and social activation. Based on routines, implementation plans, and life stories, we ensure that each resident's individual needs are met. Additionally, you play a crucial role in supporting and motivating the elderly, creating security, and maintaining contact with relatives. We work together, and you will collaborate with other professionals to offer our residents the best possible experience.

You will also assist and provide support with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, meal situations, as well as social activities and outdoor excursions. Furthermore, you will perform tasks included in the daily operations of the facility, such as laundry, cleaning, and kitchen work. Daily work also includes social documentation to ensure quality and safe care, as well as reporting according to applicable laws and digital systems.

If you work in one of the day activities, you will lead various activities and provide social interaction with stimulating and meaningful conversations.

If you work in the night and alarm patrol, you will respond to emergency alarms from our clients with approved emergency alarms together with your colleagues. Additionally, during night shifts, you will perform approved home care services for our night clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is at least 18 years old at the time of employment.
• Is a trained nursing assistant or care assistant with experience, or has relevant ongoing education in health and medical care that is also considered meritorious.
• Has good IT and documentation skills.
• Has very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• A B driver's license is required for work in the night and alarm patrol.

Experience in the following is meritorious:

• Similar tasks within elderly care.
• Working with individuals with cognitive illnesses.
• Experience with the Treserva operational system.
• For work in short-term accommodation, we prefer candidates with experience in health and medical care, such as working in a hospital ward.

We seek nursing assistants and care assistants who are engaged and structured with excellent teamwork skills. Additionally, we expect you to be stable and composed in stressful or pressured situations, contributing to a positive atmosphere. We expect you to have a strong interest in working in elderly care and want to make a difference by providing good care and service to our residents. It is very important for us that you act professionally in your interactions with residents, their relatives, and colleagues. All staff in elderly care play a vital role in the residents' daily lives; you make a difference by being empathetic, engaged, and present. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Due to the fact that the title of nursing assistant has been protected since July 1, 2023, you must be able to present valid proof of the right to use the title of nursing assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare before an offer of employment as a nursing assistant is made.
