Job Responsibilities

With us, your work as an environmental and health protection inspector will entail a varied everyday life. The position involves working with supervision and assessment according to the Environmental Code, focusing on waste, landfills and recycling centers, recycling companies, mass management, as well as individual sewage systems, but also other tasks within the unit's area of activity. The main responsibilities of the position are waste issues in general, with an emphasis on supervision and permits, etc.

You will have daily contact with the public and stakeholders in the environmental field through conversations, consultations, and site visits. You will work a lot outdoors and create contact points with various stakeholders. As an expert, you will guide them forward, being accommodating and helpful, while ensuring that everything is done according to current regulations. That is what makes the job so rewarding and enjoyable!

Qualifications

  • Relevant education and experience in the environmental field, such as environmental engineer, ecological technician, or environmental and health protection inspector, or equivalent as assessed by the employer.
  • Experience in supervision according to the Environmental Code.
  • Good knowledge of and experience in waste management supervision.
  • Driver's license (B).
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Knowledge of individual sewage systems and water supply.
  • Experience with digital case management systems (we work in Ecos).
  • Experience working in a politically governed organization or public sector.

You are unpretentious and attentive, while being confident and clear in your decisions, with an understanding of the responsibility and special trust that comes with working in an authority.
