IT Architect for Digitalization IT and MT

The Digitalization IT and MT department provides support and services to the Skåne healthcare system. The department's mission is to implement a modern and cohesive digital healthcare environment while maintaining and effectively consolidating the existing IT environment. The mission includes management and support of existing and upcoming systems. The department has about 500 employees and is represented at all hospital areas in Skåne, with its headquarters in Lund.

The Infrastructure and Security business area consists of about 100 employees divided into five units: Digital Workplace, Data Center, Data Communication and Telephony, IT Security, and VO Support. Within the units, unit managers, contract controllers, system managers, platform managers, security managers, systems specialists, IT architects, delivery managers, process leaders, and others are responsible for delivering processes, daily operations, and developing existing services as well as implementing new ones.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role entails an overarching responsibility for the development direction of the digital workplace. You need to collaborate closely both within your own unit and with other relevant roles within the department to develop strategies and plans and participate in realizing them. The architect role is very flexible and is seen as a key player in many contexts. You will never run out of exciting things to do!

The role of IT architect is divided. Half of your time is spent in the line organization. Here you work within your own unit to support others in the development, delivery, and operation of our services. The other half of your time is spent in a matrix organization with all IT architects under the leadership of the chief architect. Here you will review and evaluate the architecture for all new IT and MT solutions and develop target architectures and overarching plans that apply to the entire IT and MT architecture within Region Skåne.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who have a technical college/university education or other education that the employer deems relevant. You have a broad IT background and collaborate effortlessly with IT specialists from various technical domains. You have good knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365, Windows 11, SCCM, Intune, printing, Citrix, client devices in the form of computers, thin clients, and smartphones & tablets. Work experience in architecture, design, and implementation of solutions for the digital workplace is meritorious. It is also an advantage if you have expertise in IT security and generative AI.

As a person, you are pedagogical, clear in your communication, and have the ability to explain to individuals who are more or less knowledgeable in IT. In your work, you are self-driven and have a very good ability to collaborate and listen, which makes it easy for you to understand the needs of the organization. It should also be natural for you to think strategically and long-term, and to align the architecture with the region's overall strategy and objectives. Your working method is characterized by a clear focus on delivery and the ability to drive and manage multiple activities simultaneously.

Medical technology (MT) also works with service, maintenance, purchasing, and in-house manufacturing of medical technology equipment.

The department is also responsible for the fundamental healthcare information systems and drives the development of future healthcare information. We are about 350 employees in the department and are present at all hospital areas in Skåne with headquarters in Lund.
