Grums Parish is looking for a Cemetery and Property Manager

Grums Parish consists of the congregations of Grums, Ed-Borgvik, and Värmskog.

We have approximately 9,000 inhabitants, with about 67% being church members.

We are looking for someone who wants to lead, coordinate, and develop the work related to burial services, churches, and properties.

As the Cemetery and Property Manager, you will:

  • Have overall responsibility for burial services and properties in the parish.
  • Be responsible for operations within budget, results, and work environment.
  • Be a member of the management team.
  • Lead and have personnel responsibility for staff within the operational area.
  • Be responsible for preparations and investigations, as well as presenting matters related to burial services. Secretary of the cemetery committee.
  • The position also includes practical tasks.
  • Participate in establishing plans and documentation regarding properties and cemeteries, including follow-up.
  • Collaborate externally with industry organizations and authorities, conduct procurements, and manage contractor contacts.
  • Prepare applications for church heritage compensation and be responsible for contact with relevant authorities.

Expectations of you

· You have basic knowledge of budgets, financial frameworks, leadership, and work environment issues.

· You have some form of leadership experience and preferably have completed leadership training.

· Experience in planning, leading, and following up ongoing work.

· Some legal knowledge and experience in negotiations and contracts related to cemetery and property issues is an asset.

· Experience in cemetery and property management is an advantage.

· A valid driver's license (B) is required (C and E are advantageous) and access to a personal vehicle.
