About the Company

Siemens Energy meets the increasing demand for energy in over 90 countries and contributes to protecting our climate. With over 94,000 employees, they generate electricity for 16% of the world's population and strive for sustainable, reliable, and affordable energy through innovative technologies. Siemens Energy develops gas turbines and power plants for global use and has a comprehensive service organization. With 3,000 employees in Finspång and an annual revenue of approximately 10 billion SEK, Siemens Energy is a significant player in energy technology.

Your Responsibilities

The role of operational buyer at Siemens Energy primarily involves responsibility for procuring gas turbine components from external suppliers for internal customers, most of whom are located in the in-house workshop. The role also includes developing the purchasing area to ensure an efficient and robust supply chain.

As an operational buyer, you will be responsible for orders and deliveries from suppliers according to the agreements negotiated by the strategic buyers. The role requires close collaboration with internal customers and a structured approach to ensure that deliveries occur on time. The work involves continuously questioning and developing your area of responsibility and actively working on problem-solving in both the short and long term.

This entails frequent communication regarding deviations in the supply chain and many points of contact, both internally within the organization and externally with suppliers. The work can be intense at times and requires flexibility regarding both workload and engagement.

Responsibilities for the buyer include, among others:

  • Management of purchase orders and invoices

  • Delivery monitoring

  • Driving and leading supplier meetings for ongoing deliveries

  • Supplier development

  • Material planning

  • Communication and feedback to customers and suppliers

  • Process development

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with an education in purchasing or logistics, for example in economics or industrial economics, who enjoys a role with many points of contact. You are outgoing, driven, and collaborate easily with both suppliers and internal functions.

You have a good understanding of the importance of timely deliveries with the right quality. The role requires you to handle periods of high tempo and high demands for flexibility without losing structure or focus. When deviations occur, you address them immediately, work solution-oriented and structured, and analyze and develop your area of responsibility over time. You are not afraid to question existing working methods and see improvement work as a natural part of daily tasks.

To succeed in the role, we hope that you:

  • Have good collaboration skills and enjoy a communicative role

  • Are resilient and flexible in your working style

  • Work systematically with problem-solving and follow-up

  • Have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have previously worked with purchasing and have good knowledge of SAP and Excel, particularly related to material and logistics flows.
