SSAB Energy Distribution is now seeking two shift operators for our operations that supply SSAB Borlänge with energy in the form of steam, hot water, and energy gases. We also manage process water and cooling water for the production facilities. Location: Borlänge.

Our operations run around the clock, every day of the week. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that our production facilities are operated and monitored safely, efficiently, and environmentally friendly.

In addition to operation and monitoring, you will conduct self-inspections and ongoing supervision according to a set plan.

The working hours are shift work, which means day, night, and weekend work.

Your main responsibilities

• As a shift operator, your main tasks will include operation and monitoring, including rounds.
• Shutdown and startup during maintenance work.
• Process optimization and facility efficiency improvements.
• Operator maintenance, self-inspections, and ongoing supervision.

About you

• We are looking for someone with relevant education or experience in heat and power production industry or similar facilities. Being a certified boiler operator class 1 is an advantage.
• You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
• You hold a B driver's license.
• As a person, you are driven by a results-oriented and goal-focused work style and have the strength to handle demanding situations and take full responsibility.
• You are communicative and value collaboration with a strong focus on safety.
• We are looking for someone who has the ability to collaborate with others and generates positive energy in the workplace.
• You are responsible, meticulous, and understand the importance of performing work with good quality and under safe conditions.
