The castle is now used by both companies and private guests for conferences, weddings, parties, and relaxing weekends. THE CASTLE'S KITCHEN:

The restaurant at Hedenlunda Castle maintains the highest standards, serving everything from conference menus, three- or five-course dinners, breakfast buffets, barbecue evenings, and wedding dinners. The food has a classic and innovative approach with a strong focus on local and sustainably sourced ingredients. The kitchen team consists of chefs, kitchen assistants, several on-call staff, and a head chef who now needs to be replaced as the current head chef moves on to new challenges.

THE POSITION OF HEAD CHEF:

As the head chef at Hedenlunda Castle, you will be part of the management team together with the owner and other managers in the business. You will lead the kitchen team in operations, develop menus and concepts, and be operational in the kitchen. Working hours vary between day and evening shifts as well as weekends. The operations at Hedenlunda follow the seasons, with many weddings during the summer, Christmas buffets in December, and conferences in the fall and spring. It can be quite hectic at times, while other parts of the year are a bit calmer. The position will be filled as soon as we find the right person, and you will be employed directly by Hedenlunda Castle after Majola has completed the recruitment process.

To be the right head chef for Hedenlunda Castle, you should thrive in a driven and unpretentious team where everyone works together to develop the kitchen while also developing themselves. You should be a responsive leader who coaches and challenges your staff in a safe and inspiring way. Since the position is highly operational, it is important that your heart lies in cooking, but you also need to have administrative experience and good kitchen economic knowledge.

In terms of experience, we see that you have previously worked in ambitious and high-quality kitchens and have been a sous chef or head chef for an extended period. Experience from conference facilities or similar operations is also a merit. You will be offered a role in a stable family business with a flat organization and close decision-making.
