Municipal technology and services are divided into four units: property, streets and parks, water and sewage, and food. We manage the municipality's land and operational premises, clean municipal facilities, maintain streets and roads, pedestrian and bicycle paths, parks, playgrounds, forests, waste management, and utility networks. We produce drinking water and treat wastewater. Within the food unit, we prepare meals for schools, preschools, elderly care, and home care.

The responsibility of municipal technology is to meet both residents' and other administrations' needs for services in water, sewage, road maintenance, park maintenance, property management, and waste management.

Municipal technology in Forshaga is now looking for a property caretaker for its property department.

Job Responsibilities

You will be part of a team of seven people who handle all tasks related to the municipality's properties. These include schools, preschools, industrial premises, and nursing homes. Within the team, you will work with your own budget and area responsibility. The main tasks include supervision and maintenance of land, buildings, and installations. You will also perform repairs and be involved in carrying out maintenance measures.

The position also includes on-call duty, where snow removal and ice control are involved, so it is an advantage if you have experience with machinery.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a technical education focused on property management or someone with experience in the field that we consider equivalent. If you have knowledge in plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, or other property systems, it is an advantage since the technology in our property stock is advanced.

The position of property caretaker involves a lot of contact with our tenants, so you need to be service-oriented, cheerful, helpful, and not afraid to get your hands dirty. You want to work independently and with great commitment to help us develop Forshaga Municipality and its property department.

A valid driver's license B for manually shifted vehicles is required.
